Nancy Stricker’s journey at TVS began in 1974 as a Direct Support Professional, driven by her belief in the inherent dignity and worth of every individual. Over the years, she has worn many hats: supervising assembly contracts, leading business development—including a pivotal partnership with DuPont—and managing operations. In 1987, she became Executive Director, guiding TVS through three decades of growth, from a small sheltered workshop to a thriving organization offering dignified employment. Though retired as CEO since 2016, Nancy continues to serve on the TVS Board of Directors and remains a steadfast advocate for the organization’s mission.

Becky Alderman joined TVS in 1967 as Program Director, fresh from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Sociology degree and a passion for making a difference. Her determination to “save the world” found a home in TVS, where her leadership as Chief Operating Officer shaped programs that enriched the lives of participants and expanded employment opportunities. Becky’s work has been instrumental in securing government contracts that have provided steady, meaningful employment while producing food for the U.S. government and military. Retired since 2020, Becky continues to champion the TVS mission and its life-changing work.
